  1. I got the chassis one, I think its stronger if you land on a rock your not pushing the body up there for your not bending the body or if you have some bad body mounts you could break them and the body would be lose. I may be completely wrong but that what I see is the strongest
  2. i use the truck for off roading mainly so if it worth changing the axle or just put lockers in the landy one's.
  3. Ok I guess it all depends on finding the axles for the right price, and do the series 80 axle have locking diffs
  4. hi all, i was thinking the other day if people have changed the axles from a land rover axle to a different make like toyota or ford etc, and was it alot of work to do and did they have locker in? mainly for disco 1
  5. cheers i'll save up and see at the time, how much is it to fit to a diff casing
  6. yer but at least you can keep the little turning circle
  7. Buy some spacers and it should cut out the tyre touching the arm
  8. Ok cheers, I have to save before I get one so ill see if I can save abit extra. How much does it roughly cost to get the locker in the caseing
  9. not good so whats every one recomand, dont want to spend the earth on one and its for a disco 1.
  10. its more a fit and forget, you got have to remember to turn the air on.
  11. ok cheers, i was going to go for the detroit locker when i have some money.
  12. ok cheers for the first answer. i use the truck mainly for off road use and road use mainly getting to and from play site and little greenlane, i was going to change the rear shaft when i get a locker i was more worried about if i needed to upgrade the front cv and shafts too. wont be for a while yet.
  13. hi all, i have two question for you, 1. if i buy a locker does it come as a straight swap or do i need to get it fitted in my diff casing? 2. if i buy a rear locker will i need to upgrade the front at the same time or will standard stuff be ok? cheers lee
