THIS IS MY FIRST LISTING SO I HOPE ITS OK. I HAVE A 1999 T PLATE LANDROVER DISCOVEY SERIES 2, 4.0 V8I ES MODEL. IT HAS A GAS CONVERSION BY ZAVOLI WHICH IS A SEQUENTIAL MULIT POINT SYSTEM.
I HAVE JUST HAD IT INTO MY LOCAL LANDROVER INDEPENDENT SPECIALIST WHERE IT HAS HAD TO HAVE TOP ENGINE OVERHAULL CASTING £2,099. NEW VALVES, NEW CAM SHAFT,NEW GASGETS, PLUGS, HT LEADS, THROTTLE BODIES ETC ETC ETC.
HERES THE PROBLEM FOLKS ! ! ! ! ! ! . WHEN IT RUNS ON GAS IT IS ABSOLUTLY SPOT ON, LOADS OF POWER ETC. WHEN I START UP THE CAR IN THE MORNING FROM COLD AND LEAVE IT TO TICK OVER ON PETROL ITS OK, AS SOON AS I PUT THE ENGINE INTO GEAR AND UNDER DEMAND ITS JUDDERING AS IF THERE IS NOT ENOUGH FUEL GETTING TO THE ENGINE, IT HAS HAD A NEW SET OF H.T LEADS AND PLUGS AND THEY ARE ALL FINE. RUNNING THE CAR ON PETROL AT AROUND 30MPH IS FINE BUT IT WONT DO OVER 45MPH RUNNING ON PETROL BUT AS SOON AS I TURN IT OVER TO GAS THE CARS AWAY. IT FEELS A DEFINATE FUEL SHORTAGE LIKE THERES NOT ENOUGH FUEL GETTING DELIVERED TO THE ENGINE
COULD THIS BE A FUEL PUMP PROBLEM ?????? HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM OR HEARD OF THIS HAPPENING??????? CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE
