  1. It won't be the glass seal it will be where it seals to the roof! To do it properly you need roof lining out, then undo the sunroof cartridges very easy ;-). You will see a foam strip around the outside edge which is where they leak, simply clean up the roof & sunroof apply a nice neat bead of silicone and put back together. That way you still get to use your sunroofs and they won't leak! Obviously just check the drains & things whilst ur doing it. But every one I've come across that leaked has been fixed in the same way. On a nice dry day it's a few hours simple work. Good luck
  2. Well up for this! I'd be a blue competitor. All hinges on suitable dates?? When will they be available
  3. I have all the electrical parts you need to change them over. As regards freeing them for now. First I'd u do the 4 torques screws that hold the glass in and lift that out and check/ clean the seals and drains etc. (obviously have a look on the roof to check if there not cover in sealant!). Then if you need to get further involved you really want the roof lining out then you can remove the sunroof tray/ mech. Or try and grease it in situ if all the seals etc are good. It's a simple enough job but you really want a decent dry day ;-)
  4. Mine reset on there own when you first drive over a certain speed. If not the there's something else wrong ?.
  5. Might be cheaper in the long run just to buy a new belt !. Normally if its squeling theres a reason for it and i may be past its best. If youve a 300 TDi you can replace the bearings in the tensioner fairly easy job. There available on fleabay.
  6. No worries, glad you sorted.
  7. D44 make some awesome gear! First four make some good quality bumpers to!! I know I've got one, and it's had hell and never faulted!!
  8. Try this chap 07831 440852. Charles @ Jcs 4x4 wheels & tyres. Hopefully he can help.
  9. Regarding the carpet there different in a 5dr to a 3. But it depends on how gooda finish you want ?? If it's just gotta be a work horse then you could cut the 5dr carpet to fit ??
  10. Theres no o ring I've just rebuilt my rear d2 axle earlier today. And it's simply the half shaft straight into the back of the hub/ bearing ass.
  11. I would imagine that your commercial is the same as a 3dr disco, so you would need the quarter panel trims from a 3dr. The carpet from the 5dr won't fit if you were planning on using the front seats from your 5dr donor car they don't flip forward so there no good. The rear seat and belts should be the same and I would imagine that all the relevant mounting holes are there. Lastly you would need to make your insurance and vosa/dvla know other wise you could get grief if your stopped with people in the back! As it will only be down as a having 2 seats.
  12. Tempcover.com 1-28 day insurance
  13. A write off is write off plain and simple ! Wheather it's a,b,c or d basically an insurance company has already paid out on a claim against the vehicle so they will not pay again!! All be it a lot lot less than the a proper vehicle is worth. I've worked in car sales for 15yrs and as I have always been told a vehicle on the register is worth about a 3rd of its straight brother. It pays to always hpi check.
  14. i run a first four tubular bumper on my d2 its also got d1/defender springs. flexi arches are the same and there may well be some switches and interior bits that might transfer over if you needed them. headlights are the same but dont have the black surround. they run the same rear prop and donut. there could be some other parts aswell this is just what i can think of now.
