Hi, Can anyone offer advice on fitting 110 calipers and discs on the front axle of my 1989 Defender 90. Happy to keep the drums on the rear but would like a little sharper braking. Do I need to also change out the brake servo and master cylinder for 110 items. If so what are the part numbers. Last question, do new calipers come with stainless steel pistons. Thanks in advance for any replies. Sean

Hi All, I have converted my rear axle to front brake callipers on my challenge Range Rover Classic. Lets just say it wasn't my greatest move although the brakes have plenty of power now. The trouble is now to get full braking you have to punch the brake pedal twice in quick succession, I have bleed the whole system up and once you have pumped the pedal twice the pedal remains firm and solid with the brakes locked (aka I don't appear to have a leak on the system or believe I have any air in the pipes). I have come to the conclusion that the master cylinder is too small to meet the extra fluid requirements of having 4 pot callipers right the way around? Does anyone know of any larger master cylinders that will fit the existing servo/pedal? Or alternatively I have heard some old lorries (pre air) had a pressure booster in the brake lines but haven't had much success researching these? Cheers, Readie

I have a really odd wear pattern on my front LH brake pads due to the caliper breaking a top lug Good job I had a look really It's prefix A axel swivels, with B calipers. As there is only one swivel housing type in the imperial series, is there only one caliper for the 3/8unf pipe nuts? Crads have one for £125 and paddocks about the same price, or £56 for another. I wonder if the cheaper is a single pipe? For a start I want to buy new, pop the pistons out and put the old Zeus stainless pistons in. And I want to avoid any mistake on my part with bolt shanks that might have caused the breakage in the firt place. So anything wierd to look out for?
