Troll Hunter
I have a badly corroded section just above the driver's step (LHS), and I am unsure of the PN. The section appears to run from the base of the A post to the base of the BC post. I think it is shown in the 1987 Defender One Ten Parts Catalogue, page 765, Item 24, PN MWC1087. Please can you confirm, or supply the correct PN. Many thanks in advance. Mike
Peaklander
Hi I think you are referring to this Sill channel its connected by a nut/bolt plate to the bottom of the A pillar and is spot welded to B and C.
western
if the parent vehicle is a station wagon, that channel is part of the body sideframe. item 1 in http://www.albrit.de/UNI.cfm?PAGE=764770&SPRACHE=EN a very costly & rare part 2nd hand or new. I replaced the channels with some 3mm wall 50mm x 30mm rectangular box from a steel stock holder. if it's for a 90 or 110 hardtop then the YRM part linked in the first reply will get you sorted. Peaklander
They also do the CSW part this one which is what I used on my 110 CSW. It's a bit of a job to release the old at the B and C pillar bottoms but worked well for me. I replaced both sides and the cross member under the 2nd row floor
