Simon_CSK
Can anyone tell me if the inlet manifold, to bit that bolts to the engine in the valley, is the same on a GEMS and a Thor. I have a GEMS block which I am fitting into a Thor car so it would save me a job.
FridgeFreezer
Nige should be able to give you the definitive on that but I think they're basically the same casting, albeit with detail differences. Probably depends which direction you're going.
elbekko
They're a bit different IIRC.

Probably depends which direction you're going. The bolting configuration is completely different on the top side and the cooling piping is different. Was hoping to keep the GEMS one on however when I started to strip it there were injectors for the LPg system that I had forgotten about. I also realised today that this block has been in 4 cars GEMs first then I bought it to go in a Thor then I put it in a GEMs and now going back to Thor. You would think I would know by now what can go where.
