ashleyb
Hi all,the level/filler plug for the swivel housing on my recently purchased series 3 has got rounded off, until i weld a nut on it to hopefully get a larger spanner on it,is it possible to fill the oil from the top of the housing by removing any parts to gain access.Any ideas much appreciated
Les Henson
The only other place you could fill it is by removing one of the top pin bolts (they are tapped right through). Les.

neil110
Of course you could always use a set of stilsons on the existing plug, presuming you can get a set in there. Yes I know it is a bit of a gorilla solution but it might save you having to weld a nut on the plug.
Snagger
You could also try grinding new flats onto the plug (and then fit a new one once removed). The heat and vibration from the grinding may help with the rusty threads, too.
