bnamunds
Gents, There is some noticeable wear on my rocker arms, but the manual doesn't specify any minimum specs for these. I'm wondering if they need to be replaced or if I can re-use them since you can set the rocker arm to pushrod clearance? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks mates. miketomcat
Personal I've never given it a second thought. I've always just refitted them unless I've bent or snapped them . To me yours just look polished as I would expect to see so I would refit and set the clearances. Mike
Bowie69
No damage as such, just normal wear. I guess it depends on what sort of rebuild you are going for?
Cchase
I have never heard of replacing the arms either as any changes can be 'compensated for' in the valve clearance adjustment. Mine looked exactly like this when I rebuilt my 2.5. I have heard of replacing the shaft that holds the rockers should it be worn, but that is not what you are asking here. Don't forget the little mushrooms on top of the valve stems! Cheers, Colin
Kevm
As long as the wear isn't a recess in the arm as then you won't be able to get an accurate feeler gauge setting.
