So this may be old news but I found this on the bay of e, its very nice but is it worth the price tag?

The ad talks of an early version but only in terms of being a diesel.

Reg UXB might be significant but I need to look on the S1OC web site to see.

One can always ask...

However, the "Diesel" badge is missing and I very much doubt is aluminium checker plate as floor panels were the thing in the '50's.....

All the corners and cappings look like they've been painted silver rather than regalvanised. Perhaps that's just the limitations of the image on my phone.

Rear capping folds too tight and sguare? Also the reg number does not exist in DVLA checks.

What was the restorer thinking - doing a so called nut and bolt restoration, expecting top price - and using tread plate!

2 pack finish? As Mo says some of those galvanised parts do look silver painted - bumper included. Treadplate :blink:

Wrong shape rear reflector, back lights wrong type, wrong type of cable used for wiring, carppy crimp on connectors, dodgy aluminium ducting for air intake, the previously mentioned checquer plate. If you want top money for a nut and bolt restoration, then it really ought to be perfect.
