TD5 is black smoke

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon,
I have a Defender 110 TD5, original ECU, it does black smoke.
've walked by several mechanical and no settled the matter definitely go all groping, I say to grope seen have changed various materials such as:
Turbo, Intercooler, Intake Tubes, Air Mass Sensor and Air Filter.
I removed the EGR valve and the smoke remains in it.
Now they say I have to change the washers and the ring of the pump injectors.
I do not know if it's worth it, I wanted your opinion or someone who has had the same problem here.
The car has 275 thousand km, use Motul 5/30 100% synthetic oil.
In 15 thousand km it consumes +/- 1litro of oil
I no longer know what to do, to solve this problem.
If you can help, thank you.
greetings
João Pinto

Thinking about this, black smoke is usually unburnt diesel.

Either not enough air (Blocked air filter) or too much diesel re-mappped incorrectly....

Or, your engine isn't burning the fuel properly!

Reading it's reasonably high mileage and using oil, I'd be suspicious that your bores / rings are worn and your compression is low, meaning poor burn and back smoke......

black smoke means too much fuel to air mixture so its either not getting enough air to the cylinders or its getting to much fuel from leakage into the cylinders or getting told to supply more fuel from the ecu

when does it black smoke? constantly all the time     under load    heavy acceleration
