smudge
what effect would this of had on my car, pumpin them up to 42, felt alot better to drive!
DEANO3528
Harsh ride, steers like driving on ice (especially in the rain) and wears out the centre of the tyre. 42 is seriously hard! I run my Rangies and Disco at 28 front and 30 rear unless towing when I raise the rears to 35.
jules
These pressures work for stock tyres if your running BFG at's 36 psi is recomended any less will wear the outer edges I had all sorts of problems with LR dealers dropping the pressure and me not noticing. AT2's is what the misses is useing curently and we are impressed are about the same pressure as BFG's
BogMonster
interesting, I run BFGs on my Discovery at well below the std pressures (25 front 30 rear) and they wear evenly!
MudAllOverIt
interesting, I run BFGs on my Discovery at well below the std pressures (25 front 30 rear) and they wear evenly! When we had the Freelander we ran it with BFG MTs at 30 psi front and rear. No problems with uneven wear. Never had ATs on the Freelander so can't comment. jules
We were told 6psi above standard by BFG and after 60k on them we sold the car with the two that the dealer reduced the pressure it were still very leagul with 7-8mm just look very warn on both edges.. Blippie
We were told 6psi above standard by BFG and after 60k on them we sold the car with the two that the dealer reduced the pressure it were still very leagul with 7-8mm just look very warn on both edges.. Can vouch for that. Had a new set of BFG ATs last year and still wearing evenly at 36psi. Run the road tyres at 32psi. smudge
there seems to be quite a few different replys here, any of them correct, or that you would recommend, am just using standard wheels and tyres that are fitted with vehicle. jules
Only problems with the none standard tyres if you don't check up the manufacturers recommendations
