MTBMike
I have a Discovery TD5 which has had the air rear suspension changed to coil. It now displays warning lights after a few miles. I guess the ECU has not been reprogrammed. It shows warning lights for self-levelling suspension, hill descent, traction control, ABS, handbrake and off road; these can't all be faulty. Can the ECU be reprogrammed to eliminate this? Mike
BogMonster
Yes, 5 min job with a Testbook or similar if there are no other faults
sierrafery
the only ones which need reset after coil conversion are those related to SLS...the other ABS warnings are due to a fault, most commonly sensor/hub or SVS related... the fault code will reveal it
JimAttrill
Yes, 5 min job with a Testbook or similar if there are no other faults Yes, just tell the ECU that there is no air suspension. A garage would do this as a matter of course when using steel springs. If you set that off and the 'three amigos' are still there then you will have to go through the procedure for getting rid of those lights by doing all the recommended things. This has been discussed ad nauseum on this forum so you should be able to look up what to do. Most likely in the Tech Archive.
