Boydie Posted November 26, 2016 Share Posted November 26, 2016 Quite right not all vehicles have mud flaps, here in NSW Australia the law is that if more than 30% of the REAR tyres can be viewed from the rear of the vehicle then mud flaps are required to reduce that exposed portion down to 30%. This is taken as being viewed from ground level. Looking at that MX5/Miata I would hazard a guess that only 20-25% of the tyre can be seen from the rear ergo in NSW it would not require mud flaps.
