Instead of adding more relays, you could have eliminated the AC logic relay and just wired the AC clutch relay directly, as in the diesel version (disconnect pin 86 from logic relay and connect the wire to pin 85 of the clutch relay). Escape Posted January 12, 2015 Share Posted January 12, 2015 It's what I found when looking up the circuit diagrams in Rave, and it does seem to correspond to what you where describing: the logic relay is triggered by the fanswitch (with a AC pressure switch in series) and sends a signal to the ECM, that in turn switches on the compressor clutch relay. Basically giving the ECM tthe possibility to deny an AC request in certain running conditions. Rave is aimed at the late, softdash models, so an earlier diagram could very well use a different name, though I think the system would be the same. Sorry about any confusion...
