Willow2812 Posted September 8, 2016 Share Posted September 8, 2016 Hi, I have a freelander td4 on 05 plate. It's having starting problems. Doesn't matter whether it is cold or hot sometimes it will crank over for a while before it will start. It seems to be getting worse. Took it to the local Land Rover specialists who put it on a computer and said it was the cam sensor. Changed it but still no better. I took the t pieces out off the injectors and turned the ignition on and no fuel appeared in the top of injectors. When I do get it going it splutters for a bit and when I Rev it, it clears after a couple of seconds then runs fine and drives fine. When it does this cranking over, it does a couple of turns then sounds like it is going to go but doesn't and goes back to cranking over a couple of times then fires up. A bit longer sometimes.
