JST
Ok the last two full days with 6 spaces for Drive Round Days (DRDs) at Bampton this year Sunday 2 Mar and Sunday 30 Mar 20 Jan - full 17 Feb - one place 6 Apr - now full (J33P) although they may need backfilling! Please ensure you vehicle meets these requirements: Requirements if it doesnt and you want to come give me a ring! Days will be held at the same price as last year of £35 per vehicle. you can have as many passengers as you like as long as they are in proper seats with seat belts. You will need to bring your own lunch. These days are aimed at a more social level than the competitive Challenge Events and consist of a typical days escorted driving from 10:30 to 15:30/16:00 hours around private farm land on dedicated off road tracks. On previous outings attendees have thoroughly enjoyed themselves tackling a wide variety of terrain, including deep water (over the bonnet), varied water driving, some deep mud and ruts, fantastic wooded driving sections and excellent assorted ascents/descents. The terrain is designed to help you develop your driving skill whilst gaining confidence in your vehicles ability, knowing that you have the backup of other vehicles and expertise should you require it. All sections are optional and can be bypassed. The day is a drive around day with the emphasis on driving rather than having to winch through sections (there are no long bogs for example). There are some photos and reports from previous events here: Reports You will also find plenty of comments and threads with pictures on this forum if you are after more information. If you email me i can send a booking form, payment can be made by chq or paypal.

JST
Well we had a cracking day yesterday, unfortunate that there were only 3 vehicles but it meant we were able to get on and not wait to long for tail end Charlie! A very nice std (less MTs) 90 came along for the day and as expected drove all the sections without too much bother, some deep ruts caught it out once or twice but that aside it goes to show how much you can do in a std vehicle, pictures are below. We also had Robin and Kevin down in their modified Discovery and 90 from BWORC for the day - both of them used the winches a fair bit even after the std 90 had driven sections, although i think that was down to too wide tyres on the Discovery and not an aggressive enough MTs on the 90. Both thoroughly enjoyed the day which is the main thing anyway even if they did get stuck a few times! For the next DRD on the 30th Mar i have provisionally added a second convoy as there are some interested in doing the Daily Driver Challenge on the Saturday and thinking of making it a two day event with the DRD on the Sun. If the dmd doesnt come through then it will drop back to one convoy. so currently a maximum of 8 places. 30 Mar 08 1. 2. 3. Jeroen VanderHooft - paid and confirmed 4. Jason Farr - paid confirmed 5. Shaun Harris - paid confirmed 6. Steve Williams - confirmed 2nd convoy 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.
