Front output bearing

Hi all can anybody tell me if is poss to change front out put bearing in transfer box on 93 200tdi defender in situ I seem to have a viberation that I thought was prop but tested it and its fine but noticed if you give the flange a shake when prop was off there is some play so I assume the bearing has worn thanks

Thanks for link doesnt look to hard apart from removing the actual bearing

The front output bearing on the transfer case is supposed to have some play in it - it's a different type of bearing to the rear one. The movement limit is 8mm (I think)

Roller type bearing instead of Tapered 4mm play is normal

Thanks Les & White 90 sounds like I had better looked elsewhere for my vibe also I would like to take this opportunity to tell you that I spend hours reading you excellent and very informative posts with super pictures far better than haynes manuals best regards Michael
