Piston assy with rings - std X & std Y (200TDI)

Hi

Does anybody know what is the difference between "sdt X" & "std Y" ? :blink:

The assembly is sold by the ****ddock shops and some others, but no additional info...

This will be my first 200TDi rebulding, so I expect a lot of surprises :ph34r:

I can't remember off hand but i know its all explained in the land rover manual.

200Tdi piston/conrod/rings parts page says ---

Grade X piston is for cylinder bore diameter of 90.487mm to 90.475mm [pistons must be changed as a set of 4] grade X piston part number ERR1390

Grade Y ----------------------------------------------- 90.500mm to 90.487mm -------------------------------------------------- grade Y ------------------------- ERR1391
