Seven Sisters - 29th & 30th September

Recommended Posts

It's time for another weekend of off-roading in sunny* Wales. Mud, water, rocks, trees, all that good stuff for all abilities & vehicle types.

- All are welcome, if you're not a ShireLRC member you can join on the booking form

- All vehicles welcome as long as they have MOT & insurance

- Campsite has hard-standing & electric/water hookups for caravans, plus pitches for tents. If you've not been, the facilities are excellent.

- We'll have portaloos and tea/coffee on-site during the day.

- As usual we will be putting cards out and running a fun "photo challenge" (like a punch-challenge but you have to take photos).

Book your tickets via the website and come and have a couple of great days off road fun!

Full details & booking form on the website: www.shirelrc.com/7s/seven/

Photos from the previous outing are on Flikr here

For each Seven Sisters ticket sold, £5 will go to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

* = Maybe.

I'll double check and confirm exact details. As a guide, if paying by paypal we can take bookings up to *about* a week before. Cheques take a lot longer as we have to wait for them to clear, and yes we do get people bouncing cheques on us! <_<

OK, last possible dates to confirm/pay:

If paying via PayPal, we must receive the booking by Wednesday 26th September.

Cheques to be received by Friday 21st September.

If you are camping, please book through ShireLRC, don't just turn up at the campsite.

We cannot accept people turning up "on the day" without a booking, either for the arena or for the campsite.

Non-LR vehicles:

We had a flurry of enquiries last time out about quads/bikes etc. so here's the rules:

- Any 4x4 which is MOT'd and insured is welcome

- Road-legal buggies, again MOT'd and insured, are welcome.

- Quads or bikes we can't cater for

Well the 109 didn't make it :( but I went in the freebie (again) and had an excellent time (again).

In fact everyone seemed to have an excellent time. Saturday was glorious and sunny (extreme weather event for Wales!), Sunday was more traditional Welsh weather but changed the terrain nicely and kept things interesting.

Biggest news was Ryan (AKA Captain Moderately fast) in his Freelander in hidden valley of all places! It did take a bit of work to get out but very impressive!

Will try to post some piccies / videos soon.

Yes, a cracking weekend it was :D. Would have been nice if sunday was even just a little drier.

Will also get some pictures up later, especially of Ryan being winched out of the hidden valley!
