  1. At the end of the week, I was test-fitting some of the shiny bits that I got from Nige and a friend of mine (who is much better at shaving bits off spinning chunks of metal) did some machining for me.

  3. 2 studs go through door into the window, the bottom nuts will be rusted on so go easy, Either the nut will undo or stud will unscrew. Odds on you'll need placements, coat with grease to future proof. Go easy with the seal, original replacements are hard to find, after market ones are different and throw the window section out of alignment.

  4. Suppose I could've done something with 2 sprockets and a chain.. They would be way to long as I've cut the ends (and the center) of the handlebar down. Think I'm going to fit the MX type No more unlikely than there being two of me?

  5. This is my great grandfathers workshop - note the lineshaft in the roof The car is a De Dion Bouton , not sure what the bikes are , and no I don't have any of them unfortunately . Fred Dibnah's presence on TV has certainly helped to raise the profile of engineering imo Steve b
