  1. I am very fond of my X-Eng pedal box as it has saved my truck on the drive twice. Retired nosy neighbours are good too! (First time broke the lock, so they couldn't release the box, neither could I without instruction! Second time, made so much noise that the neighbours called the police; police car came down the Close, two attempted thieves went over/through garden fence leaving blood and torn clothing. The police have retained the DNA, but no matches). I have just added a wireless HD video camera over the front drive to the mix. The LR110 has a fuel relay switch, a fused isolator

  2. It’ll be more or less whole sheets yes, the rafters are at 600mm centres for that reason. There will be some trimming though as the sheets are 1220x2440 There is indeed an overhang of 400mm at the front and 150mm at the rear. The eaves are 200mm.

  3. To remove the cam I had to loosen the grub screw hidden under the gasket at the oil filter. This allows the distributor drive to be lifted out. The cam then is lifted out the front of the engine.

  5. I just take it as a bonus if I find it where I left it. I watched mine drive away once and very luckily got it back but since then I just take theft as part and parcel of ownership, dont leave anything in them that is irreplaceable. Crime is especially bad this time of year and it helps to be extra cautious, I left some bluepoint crimpers between the seats in my transit for one night last month and they had gone between 11pm and 3.30am (wasn't locked) much to my annoyance. But it doesn't matter what you have you will notice they get stolen, just like you notice how many models of a

  7. The two pistons that showed cracks showed them right to the edge. No cracks seen in the other two -- just surface damage on the face. Turner engineering had them for a decent price, so I'll just replace all four.

  8. I've ordered the X Eng gear stick gizmo so that's a start. Not sure my whippet lurcher is much of a deterrent unless the tea-leaves dislike being licked!
