  1. Cheers all for your replys. I have decided to remove the lift and tyres and change it back to standard, but with larger tyres to fill the arches also wider as that is the look that I prefer. Cheers again.
  2. Thanks dag019 much appreciated. Chicken drumstick... indeed i could, or i can just ask in a forum, which im pretty sure is what they are here for. If you dont want to answer the question, whats the point in answering at all.
  3. If ilegal, why is it not an mot failure?
  4. Evening all, looking to fit 265/75/16 bgf all terrains to a set of modular rims. Will they fit ok on a set of 16x8 rims cheers in advance.
  5. We are a fencing company sonwork in fields ect. Need to get across rough terain. It has a 3inch procomp lift and 35inch tyres. On 15x10 steel rims. We also tow a twin axel flat bed and twin axel tipper
  6. Its a work vehicle not so much an off roader. That would obv be the ideal situation to have another vehilce. But im running outnof space.
  7. Very true. +5 shocks, soft springs and a single axel caravan. Would it just be easier ifni just change it all back to standard.
  8. It says on their website that pre td5 is fine and they are still working on anything td5 and newer.
  9. The rear dampers are brand new and the springs are about 3 years old all round. Id rather not remove the lift and tyres as i use the landy for alot of off road work in fields and woodlands. I guess ill try putting some anti roll bars back on it.
  10. The ride is just very bouncy and the landy wollows side to side. If the caravan goes over a bump then the landy is just up and down, up and down. Makes you feel sea sick. The caravan is loaded fine. And the tow ball is at the right height as i bought an extension plate to fit to the drop down tow hitch. Cheers for your help so far.
  11. Evening all, i have a td5 90 with a 3 inch pro comp lift, with 35/12.5/15 mud tyres. Anti roll bars have been removed front and back. And as you can imagine it doesnt tow very well. I pull our caravan with it but its not very comfortable. (So the wife thinks) is there anything i can do to make the towing experience better. Id rather not remove the lift and tyres. All help welcomed. Cheers in advance. Dave.
  12. It certainly wasnt you liz that was that problem. It was another member of your staff that came across very unhelpful. I very much apreciate the email from you. Its just a shame that at the time the rest of your team couldnt work together when saying they would call to keep me updated and then not doing so. I have bought several items from you in the past with great service. Just a shame that it didnt work out the same this time.
  13. Yeah i would presume it wasnt their fault as they wer getting the exhaust made by a fa rutaction company. Thefact the guyon the fone couldnt give 2 sh1ts about it was the bit that annoyed me, and the lack of comunication. I called after 4 weeks and was told it was good that i had called as they had forgotten that they were even dealing with me.
  14. All change, i havecancelled my exhaust. The exercisers at devon 4x4 couldnt manage to pull their fingers out their arses andsort my delivery puttingit back another week. With no gaurantee it would even turn up then. The guy on the phone didnt seem to care about the fact i had already been waiting 5 weeks and was quite rude about it. I will never be ordering anything from devon 4x4 again. And neither will anyone else that i know with landrovers. Shame.
  15. It was hard enough getting them to call back to tell me where my exhaust was. I can imagine the trouble id have to go to to ask them for any help with fitting it.
  16. Afternoon all, i have ordered my self a side exit exhaust (rear quarter exit) from debon 4x4 should be with me by the weekend (6weeks after ordering) anyway, just wondered if there is an easy way to mark up the pannel to drill the hole for the exhaust to exit, would hate to get it in the wrong place. Cheers. Dave.
  17. I alwayns wanted back my first ever 90. I did so much to it. It had a race tuned v8 sounded amazing. Big tyres, lift. Winches all sorts. And painted matt black by my own fair hands ( well a spray gun actually ) loved it. I then bumped into the guy i sold it to about a year later. The engine had blown up and he had stripped the landy and now there are parts all over hampshire and dorset. Shame really. But it will never be forgotten. No idea who has the chassis and v5 now.
  18. Look on the landrover website. All measurements are on there with diagrams.
  19. Mine was rattling, i siliconed it shut, waited for it to dry and then ran a stanley blade around the egde, window doesnt rattle anymore and still opens. Hope that helps.
  20. Im my personal experiences over the last 2 years of running 35 12.5 mud tryes, the mot station cant fail your vehicle for the tyres not being entirely covered as it isnt an mot-able item, ( i just get an advisory every year ) but if you wer to have a particularly picky copper that knew what he was talikng about he could give you a bollocking for it. I was pulled over last year for towing a trailer ( by a traffic officer ) without the correct licence. He realy went to town on me with the lack of licence and the number if things that wer wrong with the trailer. He took a look at the tyres and gave me a dissaprovig look, but as i had just been bent over with regards to the trailer i think he decided to turn a blind eye to them. I think ur average copper isnt going to do mich about it as most of the local ones to me just look at the landy and give me a smile and a nod. Although i will admit that as soon as i have a spare £200 i will be purchasing a set if devon 4x4 wider arches. And when i have a spare £600 and a week off work i will be taking my trailer licence. Anyhow mostly just my opinion and my experiences but hey ho, just see what happens. Whats the worst that could happen. 3 points??
  21. I bought all mine from devon 4x4 great shackles and great recovery straps. No problems so far.
