  1. Holy thread resurrection, Batman! Has anyone tried this? It seems like a simple, compact and easy to fit system. Am I asking too much that it should work too...?
  2. I think a good guideline is that if the hatchback is able to drive away, you'll have no damage. When someone drove their Peugeot into the back of my Stage 1 a few years ago the most damage was the shock of how loud a crash is. It sounded like the end of the world from inside the car!
  3. Thanks for the replies - no matter what the idea, it's good to see that someone else has done it before! I'm coming down in favour of not attempting it; sounds like more time than I can realistically throw at it. The hunt continues...
  4. I've been offered a very early 110 CSW but it's a V8 with 4 speed gearbox. My long commute into work means I'd have to stop twice on the way to remortgage my house, I used to have a Stage 1 with overdrive and it liked a drink. I've seen lots of threads about putting a 200Tdi engine onto a 90/110 gearbox, but I'd quite like a 5 speed gearbox. As I don't need low ratios for off road work, would a Discovery (200 or 300) Tdi engine, gearbox and transfer box all fit? Or is it a world of hurt and I'm better off looking for a later 110? Looking forward to the replies, a bit...
