  1. Hello you all,I'm sorry for my bad English, I'm from the Netherlands. I have a Range Rover Classic converted with International 2.8TGV engine, I want to fit a 300tdi automatic gearbox, I have already one with 4HP24 internals, is it necessary to fit a bigger torque convertor? I already ordered a bigger oilcooler from a P38. I can only fit a bigger convertor from MD engineering, they have a complete kit but it costs 895 GBP :-( ..... when it is absolutly necessary I will order the kit. What do you guys think??Cheers, Bart van Dessel
  2. Hello/Hallo Arjan, We did have contact in the past, (email 27-3-16) I have the SL35Ti engine, it has already a alternator with vacuumpump, but I have removed the power steering pump because I had to make space for the lhd steering box. I did no know that I could use the rhd box and place it on the outside, is there enough room at the RRC? I have a LHD and a RHD box and have already a Citroën Saxo electric/hydraulic pump. I'm not a good welder for making a new bracket. Cheers, Bart van Dessel
  3. Thanks for the answer. I will make some pictures today. What do you think of the electric pump?
  4. Hello, first of all, sorry for my bad English, I'm from the Netherlands. I'm rebuilding a nice RRC (lhd) and want to use a Mazda SL35Ti engine, but in a left hand drive the steering box is on the left side and there is no place because of the steering pump of the Mazda engine. I have removed the steering pump and now I can fit the lhd 4 bolt steering box. Now I was thinking of fitting a electric/hydraulic steering pump from a Citroën Saxo/Peugeot 106. What do you guys think of that? I can place the pump were I want. The original bracket of the Mazda ps pump does not fit on the right side of the engine. Who can give me a good advice? Many regards, Bart van Dessel

  6. Hello, I have a tired 300 tdi engine with 590.000 km in a Discovery. It’s my “workhorse vehicle” and most of the time I’m pulling heavy trailers. I’m having plans for rebuilding the engine. I have already bought a used crankshaft and connecting rods from a 2.8 International engine that I want to use in the 300 tdi engine. The parts look very good. I have to rebore the cylinders for fitting the larger 2.8 pistons. So I want to order 4 new pistons and a head gasket. Which other parts do I need for fitting the 2.8 crankshaft in the 300 tdi? Where is the best place to order all the missing parts?? Regards, Bart
  7. Hello, this is my first visit and first topic on this forum. I'm from Holland and own RRC's and a Discovery 300 tdi for worke-horse. About the 300 tdi I have some questions, the turbopressure is around 1 to 1,2 bar and the 200 tdi has the same power at 0,78 bar. What are the difference in these engines and why has the 200 tdi the same power at a lower turbo pressure? I want to give my 300 tdi more power at lower rpm's. The 200 tdi has more power at lower rpm's. Is it the pistons or the injection pump or the turbo? I have some 200 tdi parts that I can bolt on the 300 tdi. I have already a large intercooler, a tweaked pump, silicon hoses, etc etc. Many regards, Bart
