  1. Evening All, My '99 TD5 110 has amnesia. The speedo doesn't retain the trip meter reading when I remove the key for more than about 5 minutes. Whilst it isn't the end of the world it is a little annoying as I use it as a guide to the fuel level, since the fuel gauge doesn't work either. Do any of you have any thoughts, either why or how to solve the problem? Glue
  2. A brace of pheasants is just showing off
  3. Many thanks Folks, I guess the headlining's coming out tomorrow Glue
  4. I'm in the process of re-instating the rear wash and wiper on my 110. I've fitted the wiper motor and that works when I I flash it out with the battery, and it works if I plug directly into the loom now I've replaced the (broken) switch with a new Carling one. I just need to build a short loom to fit between the door and the light cover. So I moved onto the wash function... I've pulled the hose from the jet over the door and blown that through. I put the hose back and checked the connection to the pump on the reservoir. Feeling confident I pushed the button and was slightly dismayed to watch the roof lining over the passenger door start raining! Clearly I need to replace the pipework. Can anybody confirm that it's 3/16" or 4mm diameter and tell me how much I need. Piece of string measurement suggests 5m will be enough. Glue
  5. If you're looking for a second hand brownchurch rack I have a 3/4 length rack (from a 110) available. More details on request.
  6. My truck is an ex MOD ambulance and had a switch in a similar position. In my case it was related to the sirens. As others have said, it doesn't look like factory fit. Do you have any idea of the history of yours?
  7. That facebook link is now unavailable. Possibly its a security issue, possibly not...
  8. I can't help, but many thanks to you and all the MRTs around the country who are all absolute heros.
  9. I had a similar issue on my '99 110, which I eventually traced to a non floating float switch on the top of the brake fluid reservoir.
  10. If you want it I have a 24V 90A alternator (also from an FFR) sitting gathering dust. Free to a good home, but collection only I'm afraid.
  11. You may get lucky if you have a look at the lug. Very often they have a pair of numbers stamped into them, often they take the form xx-yy where xx is the cable csa and yy the hole diameter in the lug. As Mr Wabbit says 35 sq mm will be about 12mm diameter and would also be a common size to use with a 175A anderson.
  12. Is that the same blue they used to paint the old AC Invalid Carriages? Is that an omen?
  13. Isn't that simply a mini on steroids?
  14. The last few wheel covers I've had done have been by Cutlers in Bury St Edmunds (http://www.wheelcover.com) They've been very good over the phone about discussing options, prices and durability. For long term use I've got Semi Rigids, but they've also made a soft for me where it only needed to last a week or so. HTH
  15. I've just received this link at work. I thought it may be of interest to anyone looking for a cheap toughbook. http://new.ukdvdr.co.uk/product.php?product=LAPTOP-102&title= Hope it helps someone.

  17. Simon R / X-Eng sell batteries, so presumably have somebody who delivers them. It may be worth a PM to find out who he uses.
  18. I've got access to the cutters and a crimper of my own in Coventry. If this is any use to you please get in touch.
