  1. This article features the very car : http://www.lr-mad.co.uk/en/ag-rover
  2. Exmoor stock that kit. He's their supplier - but he also sells it direct.
  3. Here it is : http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=151285332496
  4. The only criticisms I've read of flashing tape is that it's bitumen based - so smells on hot days - and that the adhesive can fail in hot environments. I haven't tried sound proofing - what I've read though is that the butyl based foil backed layer stops resonance and perhaps some low range sounds - but it should then have a closed cell foam layer on top, which tackles a wide range of sounds. These are what I'm looking at as a branded respected product without the big price of dynamat: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=151155678947 And this for on top in doors and roof http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=151337242650 They do another for floor panels that I can't find at the moment.
  5. Careful though as one of those videos was picked out on here where the lanes weren't legal. Trailwise will confirm all but the most upto date status of a lane though.
  6. Good result then. Have you had chance to plug a Nanocom in to see what readings the MAF is giving ?
  7. Firstly - thank you all for your input. I've digressed somewhat from my original query somehow - but this has been very helpful. I have given a verbal agreement to the chap with the ATB for sale - £320 built and he describes it as spot on. It's worth the risk for me I think. I do plan to have front and rear - but the front at a later date. I've taken on board about the old and hammered trutracs out there. I think a plan would be for me to save up and buy a front ATB from Nige - or to use the rear diff that comes out of the front of mine to try and build an ATB out of it myself as per Lewis' suggestion.
  8. I presume you have this ? http://parrotcontact.emencia.net/website/user-guides/download-user-guides.php?pdf=ck3100/CK3100_Quick-start-guide_UK-FR-SP-DE-IT-NL-PT.pdf
  9. Aggghhhh !!! Lol I did look at Ashcrofts site - they are £295 plus Vat - but built up that ends up at £771.60 ....
  10. Our posts crossed .... I would have loved to be able to afford to pay you to build me two Ashcroft ATB's - but I can't . I was tempted to ring, but really I'd have been wasting your time. You once said something along the lines that you build to a quality and not down to a price - which sort of scuppers me. I get the fact if a cheaper option goes wrong it's expensive - but I'd still need to have the money.
  11. Thank you - though could you expand on what 'clamping' means ? After advise on here I put a wanted ad up on devon for a trutrac or Ashcroft ATB - someone has actually come forward with an ATB that I'm going to look at hopefully. Why I want them is a little long winded though ! Briefly: *I can really manage without for what I drive - but now I have a little girl who can't walk out of trouble I want something to help. *I like open Diffs in the way they do allow different wheel speed - where the vehicle doesn't break traction because or a wheel being turned not impede very tight turns. *I use left foot breaking already to 'tighten' things up sometimes and that would work well with the ATB
  12. I've gone shopping for a 2nd hand trutrac which has raised a question ... I know that they are sold as separate items front and rear - and I've seen the guide for opening them and swapping the gears to turn a front to back and visa-versa --- but what actually is the difference ? I read on Ashcrofts site that it's the preload that is different - but could someone explain what that means please ? For a bit more background - I found one advertised for sale and asked if it was a front one, yes was the answer. Then later he came back and said they were the same - I thougt he meant just as in the physical fitment, but no he says they can be run in either end identically with no modification.... ?
  13. Either way having a Bronze Age religion seems entirely inkeeping with Land Rover ownership
  14. Daan Offer for a Laning trip around the lakes is still open of you fancy it.
  15. I have repaired my bucket Just trying things in it for size at the moment.
  16. James - is it not their professional range and covered under guarantee ?
  17. Sounds like you could use this as a way to pay for something ?
  18. Not to mention the not insignificant sum you invested into it !
  19. Thanks Barry - that helps. It seems that they changed the bushes from a 'top hat' type like mine to a plain bush and a nylon washer. The surprising bit though - is that they are saying the nylons washer goes at the top and washer underneath...... ? I would have thought the nylon underneath would ensure smooth operation.
  20. £25k for a Q plated unfinished truck, where they haven't even cleaned inside, and the dashboard motif doesn't exactly point to one previous caring owner..
  21. I have a dismantled Mantec wheel carrier - and wondered if anyone had any pictures of one that might show me where it needs washers and which way up the nylon bushes fit etc ? Very grateful if anyone could help.
