I may have said it wrong - the top ones may be thicker.
Daft question - but you're not trying to fit a top hinge on the bottom are you ?
The holes for the mirror should give it away.
From memory they are both tapered - with the thinner edge being the top edge - and with the bottom hinge being thicker than the top.
So a full set is 4 different hinges - with each one fitting in only one place.
I have one called a (iirc) saris bones. Fitted really nicely on the back of a 90, arching over the spare wheel and really solid.
The only downside was not being able to open the door with it fitted - but in truth that never seemed an issue.
They are slightly different lengths: -ve approx 70" and the +ve approx 80".
They fit from the battery on a 90, running back along the chassis rail, to put the connector on the bottom edge of the cross member. With the fuse being in the battery compartment.
Ooo thanks guys !
I just popped out and took a wire brush to the lug - it says A10 - which google tells me is the crimp size for 35mm to 50mm.
Just looked on eBay though - and they're worth bugger all it seems :/
I have some cable terminated in a 175 amp Anderson connector that I'm going to put on eBay...... but I don't know what the cable CSA is.
Each cable is 12.4mm diameter with the insulation ..... Would that be 35mm2 ?
The cable has a 50 amp in line fuse, and is terminated at both ends - so nowhere I can measure it without the insulation.
I'm thinking of doing the B&E. I learnt to drive tractors with a trailer some years back and should have done the test then.
As soon as my back is working again I'll look into it. Heartening to hear it's not too difficult.
Yes ! Thank you everyone - you've all been hugely generous and helpful.
I put as much into practice yesterday as I could - and did manage to get some knocked off. Not a lot - but there was very little wrong with it and the price was very fair.
Sorry for the poor quality pictures - bit I've just inherited this Warn (?) winch. Can you tell me which model it is please ? And anything about them ?
