I’d not seen this channel before … it’s excellent. What I’ve never seen though is how frequently these occur - but that may just be because I’ve not known any people with a tdv6, rather than there being tons of people out there without issue.

That giant engine crane is worth its weight in gold. I can see why you’d want to sew your own canvas now. I wonder is undercover covers would sell you some? They buy their canvas in from a German company and it’s really fantastic quality.

You are much more positive about it that I would have guessed Fridge. My bad as the kids say !! I think Alex’s dad is in the Series 1 club so he probably grew up with them in the background? I enjoyed the beginning of the series - less so the last couple of episodes where it felt a bit rushed and a bit lighter on content.

That does sound like a good start to the year and a great problem to have. My year is pretty carp so far. My best friends wife died on New Year’s Eve, my mums started chemo and radiotherapy, we’ve had a water leak in the cavity wall that’s been literally pouring into the front room, my neighbours waste water drain blocked and all of their waste water flooded our patio at the back - we’ve been 2” deep in white scummy water, works a nightmare and I’m cracking up ! I don’t know if I’m being negative - but it really does seem that **** comes all at once.

The shape looks so good that I think it would look fine just painted.

My Td5 uses coolant … If the header tank ends up low your heater will be too … it’s at the same height so no warm air. Mine had a leak on the fuel cooler - I could see pink dried coolant in the engine mount underneath it. You can buy viton O rings to repair it (though the clips are an arse). I also had a leak from the pipe to the head, just ahead of the turbo, again I could see dried pink on the engine casings on that side. They can also leak from the oil cooler on the other side of the block - and also from the core plug part way under the exhaust manifold. Mine is leaking from the plug - and at the moment it’s easier to top it up than strip the manifold off - I’ve convinced myself I’ll be into snapped stud territory.

I hate the wheels on binky … on the welding and banding your own wheels - for me it’s one of those where if you have the kit and capability, go for it - but it’s not one to just ‘have a go at’.

I think Lithium and or Cobalt scarcity will play a role in needing more varied options than the current battery powered EV’s. But I think we digress !

I’m sharing that I know of someone who will take offers on these banded wheels. Its the same engineer who did mine and I know it’s great work. Sort of like sharing something that’s been spotted on eBay … except it’s not on eBay.

I’ve never seen those before - presumably they have a long base that slides under the axle ?
