When I got mine the fuel guage and clock didn't light up - it was just as Chris said the bulbs had fallen out the back of the clocks.
They just push in and twist - and I guess the vibration had rattled them out.
I fancy a more agressive tyre when my BFG AT's wear out - though I have a brand new one on the spare....
I'm not sure whether to leave the spare as an AT and cushion the blow to 4 MT's rather than 5.
Or to buy 5 MT's and see if I'd be able to sell a new AT on ebay?
any suggestions?
Have pity on the vast majority of folks who have to entrust most of the work to others.
You are still in a fortunate position to have the skills, gear and time to do as much as you do.
That said - its frustrating that folk take money but don't take any care.
Thank you much for the information! having a working immobiliser can only be a good thing - and may also help with the insurance.
I'll look out on ebay for a fob.
I was going to make this point - if your shocks are knackered you'll have no damping - only the spring.
So any travel on the suspension will be 'bouncing' until the energy is dissipated. The damper serves to dissipate the energy within a single bounce.
I saw this in the other thread and am very interested in it too.
Where is the unit located?
Why was it put there, but not activated, if all it requires is programming and the price of a key fob?
seems bizarre!
I've no access to a nonocom though - so would be going to either a main dealer or an independent to get it activated.
Any suggestions for which would be better?
That's an encouraging and informative read. Thanks and well done.
Can I ask what the implications of not having a receipt or two would be?
I've been given some fairly major parts and don't have anything for them...
Hello folks
This is my first post.
Here are some pics of my first green lane up in the lakes. Normally I climb the fells in the Lake District ... but a stomach bug meant it'd be better if I didn't have to get out of the car....
So I thought I'd try the Old Coach road.
The weather smiled on us and low sun broke through to light up St Johns in the Vale. Fantastic
Here are some pics.
May I ask a noobie question on this subject please!
If there is no requirement to have seat belts on sideways facing seats - what's the requirement to have proper seats?.
Barring the insurance criteria and what is stated on the V5 of course, what would the situation be with just sitting on the body's box section with a nice clean rubber mat
