Can any one advise on where to get a TD5 II Air con pump\comp and at what price?

ok...as I would need it for towing, top end performance isn't where I need more power. Got a 2000 X TD5 Auto, been told that I would get a different new ECU by one "re-map" person. For around £300- £350 or thereabouts, true,un-true, doesn't matter...?

Can anyone recommend a standard set of front shocks for my 2000 X TD5 Auto? Been looking and was going to buy some terrafirma ones but they seem to be getting slated alot here or is that just the +2" ones..... Cheers

How's things with the power plug now? Looking at one myself but after reading the earlier posts in this thread not so sure......

Have a look at my post here Had I been aware of this common problem on the early series II I may have looked a bit harder.... Also had the seller replace the ACE pump and the steering box before I bought. Think LR dealer quoted 1K to do both or thereabouts.

Well, after reading the replies here, spoken to a few people and looks like the head is cracked Only had the LR 6 mths.... Found this on EBAY, Thanks for the help thus far .....

I have a standard Auto 2001(X) TD5 ES Series II with 85K on the clock, checked the coolant level last week and found the header tank empty. Filled it up (2ltrs) and checked it again Friday (yesterday 4th) and it was empty again. This time it took 3 ltrs to fill up . I've had the system pressure tested, confirms there is a leak ......but where, there are no visible leaks or water stains. No sludge in the engine oil (the eng oil level has stayed at the same level throughout). I did find grey oily\water (last night) that looked like it was seeping from around the back edge of the gearbox sump (I think), but a friend said this could be the Air Con drain. There is a plastic tube hanging around in that area (with a U bend at the end..... The car runs fine and I am still getting 520+miles to a brimmed tank . Has anyone an idea as to where the coolant is going or where\what to check ?
