  1. Hi all, I'm in the proccess of doing up a 300TDI Discovery and having got the mechanicals sorted its time to move to the interior. The existing is pretty ropey and i'm looking for a replacement, which brings me onto my question. I've seen a number of Discovery 2 seats and interiors on ebay and wonder if they could be used as a replacement interior in my D1. Cheers Chris
  2. My next door neighbour's son works for Duncan (Britcar owner) So i'm probably slightly biased. But Duncan is a top bloke and can't do enough to help, i now shop go anywhere else, one phone call and usually i've got it that evening. If you want it he'll get it, chris
  3. Here is a link to some photos of my fuel tank swop, http://s222.photobucket.com/albums/dd113/n...%20replacement/ When i bought my Bobtail rangie the original tank was in the buck and took up all the space, so have replaced it with this plastic boat fuel tank only cost £30! is 33ltr capacity and has three connections (one pickup and two vents) I have used one of the vents for the fuel return line and the other as a raised breather pipe fitted with a one way valve. This tank also has a large inspection pannel to allow access into the tank (ive filled mine with Fuel tank foam) and also there is a smaller (Red) plate that can be removed to fit a fuel level sensor. I was worried that it tank wouldn't hold enough fuel for a full day of offroading but i've not had any problems yet. all in all i'm well happy with the end result, Gives me plenty of room for moving Rad, batteries, etc into the buck. A good cheep alternative to an ally tank for those on a budget. Chris PS Also had no problems with its MOT last month!
  4. Check out their web site for more details http://www.bures-pit.co.uk/index.html good news Laters Chris
  5. I've recently replaced the seats in my 1976 classic and the subframes that came out matched the Vinal colour on the lower part of the seats, a kind of tan colour. Hope that helps Chris
  6. Help needed please, The steering box on my 1976 classic "3 bolt" has reached the end of its useful life and i'm currently looking for a replacement. After hunting around i came across ADWEST and gave them a ring. They said "we don't do 3 bolt steering boxes and more but can supply a four bolt that 'should' fit ok". The sales person didn't fill me with confidence when i started to ask technical questions, just tried to get me to part with my money . I'm keen to get an ADWEST box as i've only heard good reports. So my question is will a Four bolt box be a direct replacement for my existing, bearing in mind that my 3 bolt is imperial! Or any other recomendations as to where to get a replacment box Any help much appreciated Chris
  7. Oooh thats a bit harsh Deano! Anyway thanks for the advice, better to sit a day out than wreck the whole motor. Parts now on order so ready for Badwell trial. Yes "bobtail" it is the HAG how do you know her? ever since i've had her it seams loads of people recognise her!
  8. While there seams to be some love for the "two door pick up" here's a photo of my weekend toy. I'd just been pulled out of a very deep and muddy hole!
