Hi Have done a rear crossmember replacement on my 300 tdi 90 I just need the u shaped plastic clips that hold the wiring to the rear crossmember to both sides as I only managed to remove I've intact Thanks Roy

hi going to replace my crossmember on tuesday, so i am just going to cut the towbar bolts and the 2 bolts on either end of the crossmember to tub got the three centre ones undone as they have captive nuts. so i need sizes of nuts and bolts for the tow bar plate on to rear crossmember x4 / towbar bracing legs from tow bar to chassis x 4 and the 2 that go up into the bottom of the crossmember, have got new towball with a free bolts from a mate Thanks Roy

hi found out its just under 25kgs and have got a pricee of £30 cash it will need to have the black spray paint removed first found someone to do it for £15 also he can do any parts that you can get to him he's done a few series 1 and 2 bulkheads in the past and he will drop it of at the galvanisers on the same day, so all sandblasted and galvanised for £45 a bargain i think .. i will have it galvanised upto the extensions so no need to grind before welding. Hi they want to know its weight cause they charge by the kilo , will grind galvanising off,weld it on then wax oil the inside only galvanising it as I want it to last and I can't afford a full new galvanised chassis at the mo lol

hi going to replace my rear crossmember very soon and want to know how heavy the new one will be as i am going to get it galvanised but they can not give me a price without knowing the weight, i think it maybe a good investment in the long run. so does anyone have a rear crossmember with extentions that they can stick on some bathroom scales or had one delivered and have packing with weight on the label and let me know how much it weighs and yes its a strange request lol lol lol

hi will a injector pump from a 200/300tdi disco fit a 200tdi defender as a mates is giving up the ghost and he does not have the internet at the moment to search for himself,, if so is it a straight swap or will it have to be adapted thanks Roy

hi, popped in to see a friend 0n saturday and whilst going for a spin with him ,i pulled up at some traffic lights and he said he could her the turbo whistling i said he is hearing things but upon checking it out on his drive he was right even on little more than tick over the turbo is merrily whistling away . so question is this a stuck actuator, if so how do i test it ? if so can it be freed in situ or will it have to come off and how hard is it to do ? i am not down on power or getting a lot of smoke. thanks Roy

hi towed my trailer today and noticed that the trailer warning light only flashed once with the indicators, but the trailer lights all work as they should is there a relay if so where ? second thing is i notice that with or without trailer connected if i use the hazzards only the trailer warning light flashes and not the arrows any idea's thanks Roy

hi going to be changing standard front bumber for a 4"x 2" 3mm box section so expecting the old bolts to snap so need part numbers for the 2 bolts and the nuts iirc nuts are on a plate together thanks Roy

hi all i want to settle a argument with my son as to his 90 and his pending mot he had a set of alloy wheels given to him but 2 are at and 2 are mud and he thinks that they will pass its mot with them on , i think they should all be at or mt not both thanks Roy

just checked and mine just has a 3 way block connector not the original, the electrical inline sort for joining wires so it looks like a diy job of some sort Roy
