  1. Thanks for the reply Gren. The crush tubes are still there strangely. I’ll have a go at tapping it back flat. 👍🏼 Cheers, Matt
  2. Afternoon all, For the first time since having my 2015 90 from new I have removed the NAS rear bumper step in order to give the rear crossmember a good clean and waxoyl. Upon removing the bumper step I have found that Land Rover have tightened the step up so tight the corners of the crossmember have been crushed/dented slightly. Any idea if and how I could remove the damage in each side without taking the crossmember off? The 1st of the 2 photos shows the gap between the washer and bolt head The second photo shows the bend on the crossmember looking up from the left rear mud flap area Cheers, Matt
  3. As above for Flatdog they are a very good and customer friendly company👆. Link - https://www.flatdoguk.com/
  4. Good evening ladies and gents, As the title suggests really. This morning I discovered that my 2015 90 had a flat battery due to me leaving the interior light on for 4 days 🙄. To get it charged up again I removed the battery from under the seat and hooked it up to a trickle charger for 8 hours. The 90 now starts fine and on the turn of the key. However, the engine management light is now being displayed on the dash. I imagine this is due to me removing the battery and reconnecting it. Could one of you knowledgable people please tell me if this would cause the light to come on and how I can resolve it? Many thanks, Matt
  5. I reckon if you call Gavin from autoglass he’ll be able to fill this no problem 😂. Glad your ok 👍🏼
  6. Thank you everyone. Lots of information to chew over and look at the pros/cons of chargers and different makes models, prices etc. Thank you for all the help. Matt
  7. Nice one thank you. I'll look into the UK version of these 👍🏼
  8. Thank you for all the replies. If I'm honest I hadn't even thought of the fire risk side of things. I'll see how it copes over the next 6 months as we go through the colder side of the year and then decide if it's worth getting a charger. Thank you to all who have replied 👍🏼
  9. Perfect, I'll get researching them. Thank you very much Peaklander
  10. Good evening all, I am after some advice please regarding a trickle charger for my 2015 Def 90 XS with 14,000 on the clock. Since starting a new job I have purchased a second car as I am now commuting over 60 mile per day and do not wish to run the mileage up on my 90. I have therefore put a limited mileage of 2000 on the LR and will probably only use it every 6 weeks for leisure use. In between uses it is stored in a dry garage with an electrical supply available so I am considering using a trickle charger to keep the battery on good condition condition and to prevent it from not starting. Can any of you recommend a good trickle charger and advise on any other areas I could look at to take care of the LR? Many thanks, Matt
  11. http://www.flatdoguk.com/x%2Dtrouser%2Ddoor%2Dstriker%2Dsingle%7E1428 Pretty sure this is the same/very similar to what Maverik posted ??
  12. If your after good quality look at Flatdog. I haven't got tree sliders on my 90 however other things I've ordered from them seem to be excellent quality and their product knowledge/customer service is outstanding. Even calling them for advice without buying anything seems to be no problem with them. ??
  13. Thank you all. I'll be contacting LR and trying to play one dealer/stealer off against another to see what the cheapest I can drive them too. Once again, thank you and happy Land rovering
  14. Yes, providing the parts fitted are JLR parts then it will continue to be under warrantee.
  15. Afternoon all, as stated in the title. My 2015 90 is due for its first 12 month service and has done just 6000. The bit that is troubling me is LR want £480 to service my vehicle. I am therefore contemplating taking it to a Land Rover specialist. My question is then does anyone know/recommend a good specialist to take it to near Coventry? Many thanks, Matt
  16. Welcome to the forum and the wonderful world of Land Rovers (especially defenders)
  17. Hello all, I've not personally use this but my friend has had it done on his 2007 Lexus. It's a process/treatment/service called TerraClean and seems so be spot on. Here's the link. http://www.terraclean.co.uk
  18. Hello, Is it Memory Map Selections that your after? This is the one that you can select something like 2,500sq Km from anywhere in the UK and then print it out or send it to a Garmin gps etc. No idea about the apps though. Hope this helps, Matt
  19. Something similar happened to me in my 2015 90. I have a Dixon bate tow ball and jaw attached to the LR rear bumper step. The impact was around 25mph and the car was a 2007 fiesta. At first it looked as though the tow balls black paint was slightly scuffed. However on closer inspection by myself and LR Guy Salmon I found that the rear bumper step was bent and also the rear cross member was distorted. All went through the insurance and cost £4500 to get sorted. Worth checking the rear cross member as is the tow bar if your going to be towing!
  20. ?? thanks for all the advise. Massive help and great knowledge. Cheers
  21. That's great thanks everyone. Yet again the wealth of knowledge has shown on this forum. I've just found a company and had a quote of £440
  22. Good evening all. I have a 2015 defender 90 with 4k on the clock and would like to know if it is worth getting the chassis waxoyled or treated with a similar agent to protect it from rust. Due to the age of the car I don't want to be swapping the chassis for a galvanised one or taking it all apart to power coat it it. If it is worth doing does anyone know of any places around the West Midlands/Warwickshire that does this as I guess it can be pretty messy/tricky to do it on my driveway. Thanks, Matt
  23. Adrian Flux & NFU. Phone and double check what mods the cover includes and what others you will have to list with them. Also some company's will give you discounts if you fit trackers, steering wheel locks etc especially if they approved.
  24. Thanks garymorris I'll have a browse on their website.
  25. Thank you both. Western, I emailed the seller earlier on today to confirm if it would fit my XS with air con. Unfortunately it doesn't fit and will only work with the non air con models. Plus, I know I'm being fussy, it doesn't have the lettering on the front. Really appreciate the help though ??
