  1. ....anyone built one?? I am thinking about doing one, but not sure what is involved I have a RR classic vogue se, but not sure if I want to chop it up to be honest, so if anyone is willing to do a swap for something of equal value, but not so top of the range type thing, let me know.
  2. Managed to get it off eventually, after using a cold chisel, and a very big hammer
  3. Hi, does anyone have any suggestions as to how I remove the rear bumper from my rusty 1989 classic, as the bolts that hold it on are rounded off, and rusty as f**k, and I can see no way of getting an angle grinder in as the gap is too small. Has anyone else come up against this problem, if so how did you get round it??
  4. Cheers guys, I will take a look
  5. Long time since this thread has seen the light of day, but I don't suppose you have any clearer pictures of what parts of the cross-member actually needed to be welded back in, as I am planning on doing a cross-member soon myself, and wondered what was involved in putting it back, and where it needs welding, particularly round the back where it joins the goalpost section. Thanks.
  6. Neil, sorry should have said it is a 1989 classic vogue se Pete, it is intermittent once I have started the engine, it just does it regardless of road, or engine speed, it seems as though there is a small electrical pulse getting to them, but not enough to actually make them activate
  7. I did wonder if that could be changed, as it is very loose on the end of the barrel, not a very positive action.
  8. I have a gremlin in my electrical system, in as much as when I get into the car and start driving, when i press the accelerator pedal the centrasl locking solenoids in the doors keep clicking, but not actually activating. Any clues as to what may be causing this?? (Sorry for all the Q's but I am new to this game)
  9. Having checked the opposite door, it seems as if the control rods, and their linkages are worn, so not allowing the lock to operate correctly, so I will need to find some replacments. Any suggestions where from???
  10. Right, I have removed the door panel again, and adjusted the solenoid as suggested by a mate, but to no avail. I can see that all the rods move when the lock barrel is turned, but nothing else seems to happen to the actual mechanism I reckon it is rod No.6 on this diagram that is not working properly(private lock control rod), but i cannot see what it attaches to as it is behind the window channel, and without removing the doorframe top, i cannot see this item
  11. I cannot lock it using a remote, as it don't have one!!!,(with the door closed and it seems to be square in the opening, and no drop on the hinge), when I turn the key all that happens is the key turns 90 degree either left or right without doing anything to the lock mechanism, but with the door fully closed, from the passengers side I can reach across and push the door plunger down, and this then locks the central locking on all closed doors, and I can then lock the passengers door using a key from the outside, but this will not operate the central locking from this door ???????
  12. Hi, I have a 1989 Vogue SE classic, and I cannot lock my O/S/F door using the key, and cannot see what should be happening with the levers and rods on the lock mechanism inside the door, they all appear to be moving OK, but don't want to lock the door, thus also not activating the central locking Does anyone know what can be at fault, and tell me the cure please, Thanks
