  1. Hello again all, Its been i while since i have been on.I am lookng to buy a 1996 4.0 P38(tomorrow).The advice i am seeking is regarding the mileage and engine. Now the mileage is at 193000 and the engine has had a multipont lpg system fitted,i asked the previous owner if he has had the engine reconditioned or stripped or any head gasket issues etc etc since he has owned it (2003 and at 93000 then)He says he hasnt. Is there any time frame or mileage limit to having the head gaskets redone or anything of the likes or in anyones view do they reckon this work must have been done prior to the ownership with not having any trouble with the engine and head gaskets and related problems. Any advice and view would be great! Thanks in advance
  2. Hello all. Hope you can answer a few of my questions.I am looking to buy a 95/96 (N reg)Range Rover 2.5 DSE manual.I have been told it has the bmw engine in it.Does this engine have a timing chain or belt ?Worried about it snapping etc .Also it has 173000 miles on the clock which i feel is a lot but would like to know peoples opinion on this is it still a good running engine with this mileage or should i steer clear? Is the MPG good on these also? I hope you can answer these for me . Thanks in advance
  3. I have noticed while driving on the motorway/bypass if i am around the 70 mph mark the steering wheel starts to vibrate a little more than i would expect it too.Is this normal and if not what could be the problem?I have a 1998 1.8 freelander exi. Thanks

  5. First of hello all! I have just bought a 1998 freelander 1.8exi with 81000 miles on the clock.I have acouple of questions for you that i hope you can help me with,First one is that i have noticed once or twice when pulling away from a stationary position i have heard a loud bang/thump coming from what i think is the rear of the car.Can anyone give me some pointers as to what this could be?Also it has a leather interior and the 2 front seats are slightly worn.Is there anything i can use on the leather to hide the age cracks in it and put it back to looking a bit better? Also the plastic trim is looking a bit dull and has lightened over the years. What would be the best product to use to put it back to its origional black colour? All info would be appreciated. Thanks
