  1. Cheers Bowie69!! I had figured they would, and also know how to charge for it...
  2. Here we go again...I'm thinking of putting my 4.6 out of my p38, it rebuilt with top hat liners, big valve heads, adjustable pushrods, fast road can and some other nice bits, so let's talk fueling, I'm going to run LPG as its my daily, I think I will have to have a word with Mr megasquirt, also anybody know of anyone yo put the 4.6 auto internals into my classic box Ta very much
  3. Thought we where talking trailing amrs, I wouldnt fit the recovery point, then again, I have pulled off so called proper points by shearing the HTS bolts off, as for the arms just saying what I have seen.... ps, have seen original LR TRAILING arms snap, nothing is unbreakable
  4. Did originally say that the Tarantular stuff was ok, but I wont endorse stuff I have never used....phew! although seen the arms being battered at comps, stand up ok.
  5. That RDS stuff looks like shhhhiiiittttee. shiny though... We had a guy in the club who had issues with some offroad kit, cant say the name but its a small stinging thing found in deserts !!, anyway the company tried the offroad use only tact, the magistrate didnt buy into that carp, paid in full...just go to court, get the form fill it in, don`t bother giving people who could`nt give a damn about you the time or oppertunity to wriggle out of it, the best 50 quid you will have spent in a long time...
  6. I will post some pictures in the next day or so of the one i`m involved in, nut and bolt resto.... that should give you some oomph to get stuck in.
  7. Well I like it, why is everyone giving him a hard time, what some people think is junk others are happy with, jeeeeez give him some encouragement he`s happy with it, sure its going to need some work, its an 80`s car...but its another 2 door saved from the crusher or bobtailers, it deserves saving, too many have been scrapped, hell I`ve done plenty....but currently doing a nut and bolt resto on a 71 version, As for the engine, i had one with that engine in, went like fooooook, and would out run and out tow any original engined RR, (except a V8) buy it, fix it, enjoy it..
  8. How very dare you...... thanks for the help i`m on the case now.
  9. thats good news, although I spent ages today removing the loom....so best get the engine installed n get some electriciky boxes, should be fun ah but what about the auto box, its electronic controlled right? guess it takes its que from engine revs/load.
  10. Thanks, I do have a PATS version(bugger) anyway I also have EDIS6, will I need the door lock as well, just to wake the damn thing up, modern electics are not my strong point, but I learn quick lol
  11. erm PATS?? lol will check with the ford guys.
  12. Ok guys, I want to run a megasquirt system on a 2.9 v6 cosworth out of an old ford scorpio (94 n plate)anyway, what would i need from the car to get it up and running, still have the car but have removed the engine and box, been trying to get the loom out today, there are soooooooo many wires..lol thanks chaps
  13. One of the best pieces of kit I have ever bought/used. The time it saves on doing any fabrication job is priceless, I have a mate who is rebuilding the rear chassis on a 110, without the speed and ease of use a plasma cutter gives, I know he would have given up, I would have ended up finishing it for him....anyway mine is only a cheap chinese job, but will cut 10mm fairly easily, 6 mm is a breeze.
  14. Don`t see any reason why not, MOT test does`nt test for Nitrogen in the UK, just make a plate and blank it off, I have done the same thing on my Toyota surf 3.0TD.
  15. is it the fact that the dash lights for the abs and tc are lit, if so it could be a wheel bearing that needs replacing adjusting....just a thought
  16. If I could guarentee delivery unbroken, I would post one, I have a few in my garage...
  17. We had a spate of this sort of thing in and around Bradford, told my Gf that if anybody tried to force her to stop, to just slow down (speeding causes mistakes) get to somewhere where lots of people are, if that fails to put them off, then ram the vehical and keep doing it until she could get away, we would deal with the consequences later.....
  18. I can see your point, some challenge trucks can cost a fortune as can a fully sorted comp motor, the real difference as you say is the driver/ co driver combination. XTC, has no set course as such, just gates that have to be visited, unlike comp safari where the course is is set out quiet strictly, the real skill is picking your route to minimise time getting stuck/ broken, but still setting a fast time. I`m building my own buggy for the main event (hopefully) and I have`nt got a bazzilian £`s to spend on it....
  19. I went along to spectate and it looked like fun, just wish my vehical would have been ready in time, lets hope they run the one in september.
  20. just about anything from GM, but i would go with a TH350 th400, cheap and an handle massive power....drag racers use them
  21. could be early signs of headgasket..
  22. i have a good one, it has very little rust anywhere, the door posts are solid the bulkhead is solid, the sills are solid as is the rear xmember, it has good rear wings and decent doors, i was breaking it and was suprised it was`nt rotten, if i had some where to store it long term i would keep it as i deserves to be saved...you not going to bob it are you? haha
  23. will check which version i have, as for the loom dirtydiesel, i aint got one, going to have to start from scratch...will prob go to breakers and try get one.... the gearbox is a ford f350 4sp manual, with np205 transfer box with independant drive to front or rear axels (or both) may go to an auto though, will post up some pics soon...
  24. Ok chaps, got a Cosworth V6 engine that will be powering my new challenge buggy, want to be able to wade in it, what do i need to do...also want to up the power as well. Ta
  25. When i was a yoof! i had a two door RRC, i was into rallying then, i had gone to recover my mates astra after he had broken it....anyway got back to the pits, got it on the trailer, got all the gear loaded back on, ie massive tool box, spare tyres etc and full of passengers when another guy asked if he could have a tow home as he had broken his engine, he had driven to the event, so we had a Rangerover plus trailer with car etc, and towing another car....police told me to get home quickley as he did`nt want the paperwork....much better days then
