  1. If one circuit affects another, look for a bad earth.
  2. That's what we wanted but couldn't find any cheap enough. So used 4x3/4 and ground the chamfers.
  3. Ignore that - I skimmed your post. Maybe time for a new one?
  4. Matt you have a stepper motor, or idle air control valve. Try cleaning it out
  5. I seem to recall in an old LRO somebody had put a proper PTO on one, to drive a mower or baler.
  6. Apologies - I don't know how to make the picture bigger. That was the first section of a trial, it remained there for the rest of the day!
  7. We built something like the last year http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SbYp0bVn4pI It's great until you hit a knot on one side, then it twists and busts the pusher bar off the rams. We used two opposed legs off a crane wagon and a gx390 to power it.
  8. Radius arms will result in less articulation, not more. You would be better buying X-arms or rose jointed types. I see no advantage of watts linkage unless you currently run a rear panhard like some jap 4x4s. At the end of the day - why fix it when it aint broke?
  9. With a set of britpart bearings lasting around a year, before I go and order a set of genuine ones, does anybody have any experience of these? I cant seem to insert a link but there are some on ebay, item number 390677709183 Roland
  10. Blanco, thank for that. Don't suppose you have a picture? I load cars too so it would be a nuisance if it was too high.
  11. Blanco, how did you get big tyres to fit? I have 185/60r12s on my LM166 and there is only about 2 inches above the tyre, unladen.
  12. Another vote for Wolf rims. I run 265s on mine without spacers and the tyres rub the radius arms on full lock.
  13. A) support Matt Lee and his British business B) don't trust a fundamental part of your vehicle to something pigeon-****ted together in china.
  14. There was once a time when the Perkins 4203 was THE engine to have in your XJ6...
  15. ... Invented a method of controlling one properly yet? There are a great many in the scrap yards but most people, myself included, don't know how to make it work. From what I read, the boost controlled ones aren't ideal, I have also seen a rather agricultural looking setup on a VW forum involving linkages and springs. I think there is a gap in the market for a stand alone box of tricks and a couple of sensors, (boost and throttle position maybe?) to control an N75 type vacuum controller to allow using a standard vac actuator. Being a bear of little brain, such things are beyond me, but not beyond the capabilities of some on here. What say y'all?
  16. Do you not drive round in the rain either then?
  17. Well I took my nylon spacer out and wound the wheel down a trn and it's made it much better. I think I'll leave the fuel screw alone for now.

  19. I have nothing particularly useful to add other than the fact that we used to attach it to the front arches of wagons when we put super singles on the steer.
  20. If I ran a night club for defenders, I wouldn't let yours in
  21. You've done that to your engine bay but are most concerned about the rubber mat jobby?!
