  1. If you sort it all out I'd be interested in a day out if your up this way give us a shout
  2. Dropping it of tomorrow with a local landy specialist as its needing a few other things sorted as well. As its had the hazards disconnected to so sure they will find a few other things to be done at the same time. I'd love to know how the last owner got it through its mot as I'm sure all these problems didn't happen a few weeks after it passed it I'm sure it was cheaper to smoke as its costing me a small fortune in parts and bits
  3. Just a quick update I tried bypassing the relay and it got rid of side lights but still no dipped headlights when selected so now I'm all out of ideas
  4. Spot on thanks just waiting for the rain to stop then will give it a go
  5. Brilliant thanks if that is the case does it mean that the relay is goosed ? Will go out and give it a try when this rain stops
  6. Forgot to say I'm just out side Aberdeen but don't mind traveling
  7. Hi Now I've got my tail lights sorted I've noticed that I've only got sides and full beam at the front. I've tried all the basic things I can think of like new bulbs checked the fuses and changed the relay and light stalk but no joy. So would anyone have any ideas of what to check next or know any auto sparkies or maybe even fancy a go themselves? I willing to pay the going rate or supply the beers to numb the pain at night or could even swap my services in exchange ( I'm a joiner to trade and also a tree surgeon) Cheers guss
  8. A bit late with this but got it all sorted just now until I get proper lights to refit
  9. Thanks will give them a call. Sorry for taking so long to reply but works been mental the joys of working for yourself I guess
  10. It's a 2001 td5 without the heated rear screen or back wiper. It's basic it's never had a radio fitted to it so that is one of the first things to be sorted after I've fixed the wiring
  11. Brilliant thanks for that I did think about using 7 core but discounted it for some reason. Will have a look on that site as would be good to get a proper loom as I'm guessing it will have all the proper plugs to conect the lights etc and to keep it simple for me when re connecting. But I'm guessing nothing is going to be simple judging by the birds nest and chock block mess I've uncovered
  12. Went to wire in the electrics for the tow bar but looks like a few people have had a go at the electrics and made a bodge of it. So I'm wanting to just change out the rear loom so any ideas on the best place to buy one and a rough price of what I shoul expect to pay as this is my first trip in to the land of owning a Land Rover.
