  2. Www.cluboffroadeurope.co.uk They hold monthly trials, Green laning, Foreign events to P&P sites And a summer randonne
  3. I use valvoline 20w50 I change it every other meeting
  4. No Steve sorry, had to get back for family appointment
  5. No worries Ed! Get the racer done for bagshot it will be good! Rob Dave 2nd thoughts dig out the rope it can be a bitch to start you can tow me round the pits!
  6. Ooo Dave that's not nice! I managed to finish Sunday with no hiccups! New year, new car, new start! Haha Ed I was car 124 Sunday one of the white simmbugghini's although everyone looked very brown! Be good to see some pics if you have them!
  7. I went out in my new car for the first time at waterbeach, I will also be at Bagshot on Sunday Prolinx set the suspension up in my new car the previous owner had it done, its fantastic well worth having it set up properly I couldn't believe how comfortable it was especially over the really rough stuff that I used to need a chiropractor for the next morning in my old car!!
  8. Does anyone no if a p38 auto gearbox will fit in a td5 if you can change the bell housing over etc?
  9. That's a big bug bear companies advertising they have something for sale, taking your money and then not actually having it!! Grrrrrr
  10. Very long story....... But I'm not gonna start a witch hunt! But I wouldn't use them ever again. But that's personal!
  11. I normally use allmakes, paddocks, euro car parts for some bits and land rover main dealer. I used d*v*n 4x4 a few time but the experience was so bad I still can't write the name properly as it brings me out in a rash!
  12. Handy stuff, I used the plumbing equivalent as it worked out cheaper and just bought the brass ends Works perfectly kitted out my 2000sqft bodyshop with it 15mm the workshop and 22mm to the spraybooth
  13. I removed all of the tent and nasty foam underneath, I then pva'd it to seal it and then sprayed it with some car paint with bumper texture in
  14. Lift pump they break up unscrew the fuel filter if diesel doens't start to spill out it will be the lift pump they pack up and then the injector pump will pull a bit through but no where nr enough. Also to check seems silly but can be commmon that the throttle cable hasn't gone slack they loosen off with the vibration of the engine
  15. I had Disco seats in my 2dr range rover, but i did put the disco floor in as well as the engine, box and dashboard. If yours still has 4speed lt95 and tunnel i'm pretty sure the gearbox tunnel is to wide. But the early seat frames only bolt in, there'll just be f**ing corroded and the bolts are a bugger to get out!
  16. I do alot of plastic welding with just a gas powered soldering iron, i repair lots of motor bike panels, bumpers and plastic wings etc Some plastics weld and others burn! I tend to trim off elsewhere you can't see of the bumper etc i'm welding too using it as a filler rod. The most important thing is to make sure you remove all traces of paint back to the plastic to be repaired as paint and other substances can make the weld brittle. Hope this helps
  17. Couldn't tell you sorry! But it does, it has virtually no uv protection
  18. I wouldn't paint a landrover in cellulose its just not hard wearing enough, as a painter the day we stopped using it was fantastic, 2k (2 pack paints) are far superior quality and easier to use. If i was spraying at home i would look for a LVLP gun (low volume low pressure) less air consumption compared to a HVLP (high volume low pressure) Water based paints can be sprayed outside they work by having air flow to dry them so put on light coats you can blow them dry with the spray gun where as solvent 2k paints work on the thinners evaporating. I also wouldn't use 1k laquer as after a period of time with the uv from the sun it will crack up. Alot of smart repair people use 1k products, you will notice if you see there work it will be shiny when they leave, it will eventually go duller till it cracks up and falls off, they also use 2k with air dry accelerators in this also has the same effect of going duller and flaking off.
  19. Bad news spreads faster than good news, I use a mixture of britpart allmakes and landrover parts, some stuff is good some is ok some not so good! decide for yourself
  20. If i remember correcly most Simmbugghini's and i know for a fact my one has redrilled swivels and most have been and still will race for years as they are
  21. Some friends used to race against that, it used to go like stink! Just because it doesn't look like it's raided a Bearmach/devon 4x4/britpart showroom doesn't mean its carp!
  22. The main problem that arrises from internet shopping is suppliers advertising stuff for sale that they haven't actually got, then not telling you a friend of mine still has stuff on back order from febuary because the supplier is waiting for there stock from bearmach supposedly. But they have there money in there bank account earning them interest! hardly fair, if they haven't got the items you should not be able to advertise them forsale end of story. They should be labeled out of stock. The worst experiance of my life has been with Devon 4x4 and i won't be using them again
  23. I did some welding on a p38, luckily it caught alight, the fire brigade were late getting there, luckliy it finally sorted all my problems!
