I believe the rear (boot) door seal is the usual culprit, or an incorrectly fitted hardtop if that's what you have rather than a S/W.

No wading plugs and the manual quotes 400mm maximum. HTH

+1 on that. I went from 18" rims to 16" rims, best 'mod' you can do.

Have you checked that the turbo wastegate is 'free' and not sticking closed? Also I've heard of similar symptoms when crankshaft position sensor is duff. HTH
