  1. Didn't a Halt up Rangie win the Dakar once or was it a "standard" rangie ?
  2. Ever thought about a Ford V6 ?in particular the 24v 2.9 out of the Scorpio ,cracking engine .
  3. That bike is a thing of beauty, and deserves to be ridden ,I have had several road bikes of varying capacity and style and that pushes all the buttons ,nice !
  4. I've seen far worse ,don't think that looks bad at all ,on the pics at least
  5. 200Tdi ,sweet engine ,got one that has been in 4 different motors now ,a Disco ,a rr classic ,a 110 and finally a Disco again ,has to be over 1/4 million miles on it now with nowt more than a head gasket change (or two !) ,it's sat in a half dead Disco in the yard but I know that if i take a battery to it it will fire straight up with no heat ,proper engine .
  6. Check out UTV products ,find em on the web ,I have 7 of their lights on my tractor ,been in use for over 12 months often for 12 hrs at a time without any faults and at a very good price ,they have all sizes of light bars ,they are exellent to deal with ,i can't recommend them enough ,type UTV PRODUCTS or LED LIGHTING into Google and you will find them .sorry but I'm useless at doing the linky thingy James
  7. Forgot to add ,I also have an R tech plasma but would always pick the Rage for cutting box/angles etc .Hope this helps James
  8. That's the 355 mm model ,can cut 170mm box at 90deg and 140mm box at 45deg ,max thickness is if memory serves 6mm ,it's out of warranty now so I dare tell you that I have cut 170x170 H section in it with no problems ,just take it steady and it s reet !.Think I have had it 2 years if not more and I would be lost without it ,use it in the workshop and on site (110volt).As others have said wear gloves and eye protection as whilst there are no sparks it does generate tiny pieces of hot swarf when cutting steel which are hot and painful!.I mentioned before that I set the angles with a set sq as there is a little bit of slop in the frame now but nothing critical ,blades are about £53 ,can't remember if that is with vat or not ,the blades are top quality Japanese made and last well if looked after although the wife is good at warping them when she cuts wood ,I keep telling her not to cut wet wood but it falls on deaf ears !,anyway it keeps her happy cutting firewood .
  9. Another vote for the Evolution Rage saw ,had mine for a couple of years and it's brilliant, chops anything with the same blade and if you look after the blades they last long enough ,just make sure you set the angle correctly as there is a small amount of slack in the set up .
  10. Ignore the muck ,cats are using the landy as a bed at the mo,not a problem as they are nice black leather ,landy is in bits at the mo however I have done several thousand miles with these seats fitted and they are super comfy without raising your on any higher than standard seats .they are not bolted down in these pics so go another 15 mm lower when fitted ,200zx or possibky 300zx ,can't fully remember.
  11. Have to say NFU are expensive but very good when it comes to paying out ,about the only thing the NFU are any good for mind !
  12. As many know car seats or pretty much any non defender seats are a hard fit mainly due to the thickness of the bottom /base cushion ,I found some beauty's in a Nissan 200zx in the scrappers, this was a few years ago when you could still wander round and get your own parts before h+s madness took over ! I will get a pic today ,would recommend them to anyone ,I paid £100 for the pair ,pictures to follow .
  13. ^this I like^ There are quite a few who use them to cool stockcar engines ,or more specifically the radiators ,after races , obviously filled with water not oil ! Never thought to use em for oil but I'm gonna do now .Nice one Chris
  14. I never asked ,did you're life flash before your eyes ,or was it just your flask and sandwiches ?
  15. I still can't work out how he did it !
  16. Maybe he's realised it wasn't a very good idea ,to put it mildly .
  17. Blood on roof lining not visible in this pic !
  18. Seeing as he hasn't put a picture up yet ,I will No need to rotate the picture ,it's the right way !
  19. The chinese are copying their own copies ? That's funny ,you wouldn't think they could cheapen their cheap rip offs but evidently so .
  20. "Darling ,have you sold that Land Rover yet ?,the one you said you would make a fortune on ""Not yet dear but I'm sure it will sell soon " LOL as others have said it's all about personal taste ,or lack of taste ,or lack of common sense . I have noticed more and more Kahn ,Twisted etc etc badged 90's and 110's around the area these last 12 months but it's all good ,when they go out of fashion there will be plenty of high spec motors going cheap ,especially when Land Rover start building em in India "due to demand " .
  21. If it's not the worst then it's deffo up there with it !I would imagine whoever has bought it will strip it for parts ,could be a tidy profit there .
  22. Can't tell if it's on leafs but I'm guessing not ,looks suspiciously like a 90 chassis but surely no one would do that and not declare it .........
