  1. I would take Paddy Chris and Freddy over Clarkson and co any day , even if the show is so obviously scripted it’s still better now although I’m not a regular viewer
  2. I would never buy one but I’m impressed by its design and manufacture
  3. https://www.visualcapitalist.com/history-of-pandemics-deadliest/ more interesting reading re free Pizza , yes every Friday from Dominos, wife works for YAS
  4. https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/coronavirus-symptoms-covid-19-cold-flu-difference-latest-a9389511.html some very useful info
  5. https://micro-defender-4x4.blogspot.com/ video in the shack !
  6. Massive difference, you can see how much cleaner the weld is , keep at it 👍🏻
  7. So that explains Land Rovers massive price tags , the huuuuuuge fines they pay for every car they produce 🤦🏼‍♂️🤣🤪
  8. New Defender Facebook group ? Is that the whole Defender press team or just one person with multiple accounts ?
  9. Yeah Carraro have been making axles for a long time and have a very good name although it is definitely possible to break a tractor axle !
  10. Just remembered, his first set were the first on a Land Rover (from Tibus ) and I’m sure they swapped them out for an updated set , must dig his blog out on the net
  11. I stand corrected Bowie , all I can remember really is that he loved em and it looked mint 👌🏻Would love to copy fridge and fit the Volvo portals but they are a bit thin on the ground (fridge will correct me now !) and still not cheap. I nearly bought a set of Portal boxes that had been removed from an AgRover , I say nearly , I was outbid on the bay ! They had been sat in a box and there was no guarantee they were complete so I didn’t bid too high .
  12. There’s a guy , Dutch I think , who fitted the Tibus portals to his 130 , he covered major distance in it as a motorsports photographer and wrote a very very long blog about it , I don’t recall him having much trouble with them although I’m pretty sure he also fitted heavy duty shafts and diffs so add another couple of grand 🤢
  13. Would love some but last time I looked it was 10 grand for the set 🤢
  14. My mum’s was an 03 and is still in daily use by the new owner , the last as long as any LR product if not longer
  15. Well I guess it would be a shock if the new model didn’t improve on the old I guess ! My mum had one for several years and she loved it , fine around town and the village but motorways were a no no , too slow and felt very vulnerable! I think the new models look great .
  16. Good write up CD , did you ever drive a previous generation Jimny ? Just wondered how they compared
  17. No they didn’t , my brother nearly cut my head off with one of the rear windows , no joke another second or two and I would have been dead !
  18. At the risk of being insulted , shot down or accused of being passive aggressive (what ?, yes I know what it means but really ?) doesn’t the last 86 pages lead us back to the same conclusion, the old Defender is dead , the new one is basically a Disco in different clothes (a reverse on the old Rangey becomes 90/110 becomes Discovery ) if you want one buy one , if u don’t buy something else , I know this doesn’t help those that want a modern live axle Land Rover but there isn’t one so you can’t have one . My last post on the subject and my last time opening the page !
  19. Oh so much want SD1’s are ace , my parents had an early Vitesse , my mum used it as her daily driver 🤪
  20. If that is supposed to be me then you’re very wrong but as I said , whatever 🥱
  21. Errr no , no it wasn’t but whatever , I’m not interested in having arguments with people I’ll never meet over a social media platform , that’s why I quit Instagram!
