  1. Hi all...been trying to wire up a new rear wiper motor unsuccessfully. On the diagram of c285(header joint k109) three green pins are connect together with a solid black arrow...what does the arrow mean???....green pin 3 is feeding the dash switch for pump and wiper ....pin 1 is feeding park switch, but I'm seeing some earth reading on the greens,is this the park switch earthing them? I've had the motor running off the vehicle, but nothing on,even though there is power to red/green and black has earth.....the green feed to park is there with ignition on,but switch off I'm getting an high ohms reading to earth. 1997 300 tdi,had the wiring in the door, but not the wiper....must have had a new door at some point,as the washe nozzle is above it..........any help appreciated as it's doing me head in,had a go at this last year!....cheers.
  2. With awkward pulls like this, one option is to get hold of a huge nut and bolt to act as the puller...weld the nut to the pulley centre and screw the bolt through to the shaft.Plenty of soaking with plus gas,as much heat as possible and quickly to the pulley so as not to heat the shaft and use an impact wrench gun on the bolt to give a shock effect and now an again whack the end of the bolt with a large hammer to give more shock...lost count of the number of pulleys I've taken off as an electric motor repairer.....oh,and try to protect the end of the shaft by putting a small dolly in there for the the puller bolt to screw on to.
  3. Isn't red for more modern engines and can be harmful for older engines?

  7. Drivers window doesn't shut properly while driving, the little wedge shaped button has broken off leaving just the metal tang just visible.I've bought what I think is the right part and after googling assume it clips behind a channel and looks like I'd have to dismantle all the guts out of the door just to fit this little clip!...any easy ways to do it...cheers.
