  1. Im worried now as ive been looking at some and have no idea of whats good or not!
  2. when I got mine it clunker when changing ginge gear and taking up drive. it was the a framework ball joint. What a job...
  3. my td5 is on a 1.2 tx as I do a lot of motorways. I like it tbh, I can still pull away in 2nd, it tows fine and the only time I have to drop out of 5th for big hills is when towing anything heavy. some discos didn't have a center diff so buy with caution or be prepared to open it up to sort it out. Google is your friend here
  4. I had similar. I changed the fuel pressure regulator and the air bleed valve at the same time. no idea which one cured it bit it's now running great
  5. I live locally to sp. I find Will and the rest a great gang of lads. I've never had a issue with them or any of their parts
  6. Check the waste gate isnt seized or jammed. Overboosting causes the feeling of a misfire at high revs
  7. person I'm not that keen on. Chain the bonnet to the engine block, fit m8re security. Sad world we live in.
  8. Ive seen them on roof racks and high level light bars too if it helps
  9. 4wd diff lock in low box with the steering locked on full lock towards the kerb is how I leave mine. Stops it being towed without accessing it (setting alarms off) and also stops the diff lock and low range selector seizing up.
  10. Only thing with that is Barry it disables your alarm. I was thinking if using a second battery for a while ( smaller like a motorbike one so the alarm would work but wouldn't turn the motor over. But I came to the conclusion that you could still make it run if you somehow bump started it. I'm now thinking of a second battery that just feed the alarms.
  11. Never mind the pipe, that looks like a britpart damper to me!
  12. Imo a layered approach works best. Find out how landrovers are broken into, how the security is defeated and go from there. To start with upgrade the std security , with a little imagination it isnt hard. All the info is on the internet and im not going to out it on a public forum telling people how to nick them and what additional measures i have made bar the obvious. Sorry. I live in the middle of Liverpool and mine lasted 10 days before the 1st theift attempt, since i got the proximity alarm and trained the dogs to react its been left alone. but the things you can see on mine are rear window security bars, a disklok with the welded bars to prevent it from being peeled off or jacked apart, a pedal lock and padlocks and chains between doors that are not in use. I also have a second alarm and imobiliser with a proximity alarm that starts warning you away if you get within 2 foot of it.
  13. I work on a oil refinery and we've just been talking (in work now) we recon we've been making it for 8 yrs give or take
