Thanks Les, the starter is coming off this weekend,I've just not had the time to do and at 250quid for an exchange unit in Denmark, I dont really want to believe its broken!!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone help me out with this, I'm frequently being troubled by the fuel return pipes working loose on the injectors,it's difficult to spot because the fuel leaks only when the engine is running,which can be a problem if i'm driving for a few hours,is there a cure to stop them working loose,and as anyone else had the problem,it's a 200 TDi. Also my starter spins reapeatedly and only engages the fly wheel every second tuesday of the month!!!! could it be teeth missing off the ring gear. Any help would be appreciated. thanks
