  1. I have 2 Discos. 1 has ABS and the other doesn't. The one without had 4 lines to the fronts (twin each side) with a tee piece which had one line going to the rear axle. I've not noted how the abs version is plumbed up as its my standard car which I haven't cut up!
  2. I use these, literally seconds to swap a plate over. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OBLONG-NUMBER-PLATE-steel-spring-loaded-holder-clamp-CLIPS-Caravan-trailer-PAIR-/290619043061?pt=UK_Trailers_Transporters_Parts&hash=item43aa3eacf5 Also you can buy 'legal' plates on evil bay without producing docs.
  3. I've got an ABS problem (suprise, suprise). I've done the blink test and its coming up with 2-3 pump not running. Now before I got the car it was stood on a farm for almost 2 years and the ABS worked when it was taken off the road. It had no battery and somone had taken some interior bits of trim off & all the fuses out on the under bonnet fuse box. I've replaced all the fuses and the car drives fine (apart form the ABS light). But I wonder if there is a relay missing or somthing, I have all the Green/blue & yellow ones under the passenger side of the dash but I do have what looks like a Black relay plug spare. Looking around the net it seams there are 2 or 3 fused and/or relayed abs circuits. Can anyone tell me where all the relays are and what current rating etc they need to be? Sorry for the essay!! Thanks in advance, Simon. P.S its a 97 'P' reg 300TDi Disco XS
  4. I thourght it was illegal to have different sized tyres fitted on the same axle? Thus making space savers illegal, unless you fit 2!
  5. I've fitted pins to mine. My bonnet cable got so stiff I could barley open it. Final straw was when I pulled it so hard, slipped and ripped my nail off my index finger on the undertray of the dash!
  6. I changed all the pannels recently on mine. Not much of a job, just scraping off the sealent from some of the screws, on the first side I did I took the window out first which made the quater crease when I was pulling it off. Left it in the other side, made it a lot easyer to remove!
  7. Mine kept seizing up, so I removed the lot and put bonnet pins on!
  8. Sounds good, I may try somthing similar.
  9. I've used 'Tiger seal' in the past to stick plastic trim down. Worked well for me.
  10. Looks smart. Is it any louder without a back box though?
  11. Link doesn't work for me. But is this not similar to a detroit?
  12. I'm pretty sure there is an excentric adjuster at the top of the pedel to take up slack.
  13. Hi all, My truck has managed to destroy 3 rear diffs in the last 4 weeks. Now I need my 7th diff in just over a year! I had one break whilst gentle green laning, second was at Mintey pay and play whilst going up a gentle incline and the 3rd was at the local quary up another small slope. My friend's Disco also broke a diff at the quary. We both have Llama chalenge kits fitted but with different springs. Somone has suggested that the props may be maxing out (length wise) and either pulling or pushing the diff nose due to the excessive articulation. The dammage to the diff is the same each time, the pin that goes through the planetry gears snaps, or pushes the circlip off (circlip has only come off on one occasion). To me it does sound feasible, could this be the problem and what can I do about it? I don't want to spend £500 on a 4 pin diff or £xxxx on a locker! Its supposed to be a cheap toy! Cheers, Si.
  14. My truck only has a 1inch lift with 265/75 16's on and it doesn't rub. My arches are cut thought. You may need to cut the bottom edge of the rear arches slightly.
