  1. Thanks for that, very timely, I have bought a new single line brake master cylinder as part of my brake rebuild and the pipe union on the master cylinder itself is bigger than all my 10mm and 3/8th unions and I was wondering what it was. Time to get some bolts out to see if it is imperial or metric I think. Anyone know where I can get the bigger unions from?
  2. I agree this works as I have done it in the past. Another slightly more mechanically sympathetic way is to use heat soak from the engine. First check to make sure your clutch is working OK; then just start engine in neutral and use something to hold the clutch pedal down all the way, a stick or breaker bar is ideal, wedge the free end against the front of the drivers seat. It can take up to an hour to free off as the engine warms up the clutch warms up, freeing off the clutch plate from the flywheel. You will suddenly hear a "thunk" noise and she will come free. What I have done in the past is to set her up with the clutch down and then work on the engine timing (strobe), mixture, airfilter etc. so that I'm not sitting about getting bored. If you are feeling brave, you can jack up one rear corner in 2WD on an axle stand and leave her in first as the gearbox and rear axle drag will help the process. When the rear wheel stops turning, she's come free.
  3. How difficult would it be to retro fit headlamp washers to my 92 Disco, I have seen one with them in a local scrapyard? I assume they come on with the windscreen washer? Chris
  4. Hi Guys, Newbie here, first LR - late Series 3. I have been following this string and the others on intermittent wipers and have realised that fitting the 6 pin AMR2341 is a non-starter unless someone can show me how to wire in the extra White/Green lead into the existing Lucas switch (5 pin). Anywho - I have had a furgle round t'internet and found this - combined 5 pin relay and variable intermittent knob all in one from Hella. The document link below provides the Hella part no and the OE part nos. Hella Part No I haven't found one to fit yet, has anyone tried it? Chris
