Hello all
My 110 has developed a whine in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th which I believe indicates worn layshaft bearings?
The vehicle is currently in daily use and I do have a new gearbox although this does mean a near on 500 mile trip to collect and get back to my workshop to swap.
This maybe a daft question but could anyone tell me if is safe to continue using the car for the time being? Will the box explode leaving me stranded?
I'm a little clueless when it comes to gearboxes and any advice would be appreciated
