figured it out> Dead batterys on the circuit board in the AS10 alarm module. Unplugged unit. Left it unplugged for an hour, plugged it in and the truck started right up. Owner needs a new alarm module.
This truck was purchased from a Uk dealer as a good runner. When the transporter picked it up to take it to Southampton it wouldn't start.
It will start and run for 2 seconds or so and the then immobiliser cuts it off. I have a new battery in the remote fob as well as in the battery box.
The central locking isn't working @ all. The key fob has no effect. I have borrowed a Nanocom unit and hooked that up. I can see every injector code etc but if I move over to the alarm-nothing its as though the AS10 isn't there. Since the central locking works from the AS10 I guess this also makes sense. It seems as though there is no power getting to the unit.
I have pulled every fuse in the underseat box and the main fuse box under the dash and there are no blown fuses. I was able to find a wiring diagram on the web that shows a 5 amp fuse in position 30 and shows it as satelite 109 location. This I have not found or checked. In the battery box there is what appears to be part of the factory wiring harness and a loose 4 pin relay unplugged and laying loose- I have no clue what this is or what positions to put the wires on to the relay as the wires are out of the base plastic plug. Any help -direction anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.
I have a short write up that is still a bit of a work in progress (still adding pictures etc). But its should be good starting point.
