Hi Matstone, If you sort your snaking out let us know, I have the same problem (52 plate) jigs about all over the place, on rough surfaces it rumbles. I also have a whine which comes in just over 70mph, it stops if I take my foot off the accelerator. I took it for MOT to a local garage well known for failing cars and it passed!. As fridgefreezer says everthing is fixable, its finding someone who knows what the problem is.

IT might sound daft, but try cleaning the battery connections. My son had the same trouble after he repaired his starter motor. The local LR garage changed his brake switch.no difference, took it back, left it with him, when I picked it up he had drilled a hole between the battery terminals and the clamps to make good connections and put a self tapper in, no problems since.

Hi My son had an xreg td4, it was running great until the starter motor packed up. He fixed that problem, but the "three amigos" appeared plus the gearbox wouldnt change up above 3rd gear.A local LR garage changed the brake pedal switch, still no good took it back to him, he said leave it with me I will have another look. Next day I went to pick it up, he said I cant find any thing wrong, so I have done this, he lifted the bonnet, pointed to the battery, all he had done was put a screw in each terminal (between the clamp and the terminal to make a good connection) Problem solved. Give it a go before you start spending money

Hi Magnamus have you changed the cyclonic filter? This causes lots of smoke, and also affects the turbo

Hi Chris H Wish I had read your notice a while back, its just cost me £215 for a filter and new hose and fitting after I had trouble on my holidays, I had a turbo hose blow off and another split,lost power and loads of black smoke.I had to have it done at Hartwells Of Oxford. Rob p
